God Bless You Dear Readers.

Happiness is defined as a state of well-being and contentment, a
pleasurable or satisfying experience, intense joy.

Happiness and good health go hand in hand, and Scientific Studies have
found that happiness can make our hearts healthier, our immune
systems stronger, and our lives longer.

In a 2005 Study, it was found that happiness predicts lower heart rate
and blood pressure, and in fact happier people are less susceptible
to sickness, according to a 2006 Study.

Happiness tempers the effect of stress or helps the patient who is
stressed recover more quickly. Happiness reduces cases of aches. and, especially in short-term and long-term conditions. A 2008 Study
suggests that happiness and optimism can be protective against cancer.

A 2004 Study claims that happiness, hope, enjoyment, and self-esteem
helps the elderly, especially men, less likely to be frail or even
experience stroke in the subsequent 6 years.

Happiness, overall satisfaction with one’s life, causes longevity or long life.

A 2005 Study however claims that happiness protects against diseases,
but could be harmful in late-stage disease. It further claims that
positive emotion lowers the risk of death in people with diabetes.
and AIDS, but increases the risk of death in people with metastatic
breast cancer, early-stage melanoma i.e. skin cancer, and end-stage kidney disease.

This may be because happier people do not pay attention to their
symptoms, fail to get the right treatment, or do not take good care of themselves because they are overly optimistic. However, the reverse situation, namely, taking more precaution, getting the right
treatment, and taking care of themselves, should protect patients in the latter category mentioned.

Some Research suggest that people with a more positive outlook are
less likely to get sick after being exposed to flu and cold viruses.
Getting a hug from a loved one can also protect one from viruses such
as common cold. People who are more agreeable, often have lower risks of developing illness. Having social support helps people through
rough times both emotionally and physically.

On the other hand, Intense Anger, the reverse of Happiness, and
Anxiety, can disrupt cardiac function, hasten atherosclerosis, and
change the electrical stability of the heart.

And Stress or Fear can cause wear and tear to the body, and
finally illness such as heart disease, stroke, diabetes, etc.
Meditation, sports, spending time with friends, playing the piano,
dancing, or doing anything that will take your mind off your problems,
can help reduce stress.

According to a Study, early childhood life exposure to stress such as chronic neglect, living alone with a mentally unstable parent, exposure to violence, can cause harm to the brain and other organ systems.

Also a 2007 Study claims that enthusiasm, hopefulness, ability to face life’s stress without difficulty, appears to reduce the risk of
coronary heart disease. There are suggestions that enthusiasm,
hopefulness, optimism, family and friends who are supportive,
self-regulation (overcoming stress, doing physical activity, eating
well, avoiding unsafe sex, abstainance from excessive alcohol, and
moderate eating) assist some people to manage diseases such as heart
attacks, diabetes, depression, stroke.

The need for people to do something to take their minds off worries,
problems, and be happy therefore can not be over emphasised. Where
possible, from time to time, go on holiday, relax, take your mind off
work, problems. Form the habit of always smiling. Do not say this
problem is too great o, how can I smile? Oh yes, you can smile, and
even go a step further by laughing very loud. But please stay indoors
so you do not draw unnecessary attention. As time goes on you get used to carrying out this exercise.

Do not reflect on your problems, because if you do, you keep recalling
them, as if to say, stay with me I love you, and they never go away.
Give your problems to God and forget them.

Consciously generate happiness, no matter your situation in life and
live longer.

Stay Healthy Always And Remain Blessed. Love You All.
