God Bless You Dear Readers.
I will start the Series by defining Urinary Tract Infection (UTI), and also mentioning Causes of the ailment.
This is a topic that should interest everyone, because Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs) affect women, men, and even children.
Furthermore, it is an ailment that can be life-threatening, if poorly managed.
So, please follow the topic closely, and see how you can apply what is being said here to your situation, to your benefit.
It is important to know that individuals who are sick; constantly use antibiotics; experience nutritional deficiency, and as a result have weak immune defence system, usually experience Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs).
On the other hand, healthy individuals with powerful immune defence system, are protected from Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs).
I always advice that everyone should eat right. And in addition, supplement feeding with powerful Natural Health Supplements, such as Norland Health Products.
Haven said that, then comes the question,
What Is Urinary Tract Infection?
Urinary Tract Infection (UTI), is an infection caused by microbes, e.g. bacteria, fungi, viruses, etc. which are too small to be seen, without a microscope.
However, it is mostly caused by bacteria, some by fungi, and some by viruses.
Urinary Tract Infection (UTI), as earlier mentioned, is an infection that affects both women, men, and even children.
However, it affects mostly women; about 50% of them experiencing it, and about 20% – 40% of them having recurrent infections.
CAUSES
It is important to know the Causes of Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs), in order to better protect yourselves from the ailment.
So what are the Causes of Urinary Tract Infections (UTI)?
The Urinary System is designed to keep out microscopic invaders. But sometimes, the defenses fail.
And when this happens, bacteria enters the Urinary Tract, through the Urethra, and starts to multiply in the Bladder.
This eventually leads to infection in the Urinary Tract.
1. Escherichia Coli (E. Coli):
More than 90% of Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs), are caused by Escherichia Coli (E. Coli for short), a type of bacteria that lives in the bowel, around the anus.
The E. Coli bacteria, it is said, are fairly sedate when in the bowel. However, they thrive in the acidic state of urine.
Thus when the E. Coli bacteria gets into urine, growth commences.
Then infection starts at the opening of the Urethra, which is where urine leaves the body, before moving up into the Urinary Tract, into the Bladder.
Any delay in treating the infection would cause infection of the Kidneys.
2. Candida:
“Candida” is a fungi that is common, and causes “Candidiasis,” a Urinary Tract Infection (UTI).
Other bacteria, that cause minimally, Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs) are:
3. Staphylococcus
4. Proteus
5. Pseudomonas
6. Enterococcus
7. Klebsiella
However please note that some UTIs are triggered by Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs).
Majority of infections are caused when bacteria enter from the vagina or intestine.
Hence it is imperative that couples should always empty their bladder, before and after sex, so that bacteria entering through the Urinary Tract are flushed out.
This is very important.
So couples who have not been doing that, should please take note and start. It is in their own interest.
In Series 2, I will describe the Urinary System, and also talk about Symptoms and Complications accompanying Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs).
So watch out for Series 2, as you need to know more about this ailment, in other to better protect yourself, and your loved ones, from contacting it.
Till Then,
Stay Healthy Always And Remain Blessed. Love You All.
